Tucson Lifestyle Magazine Recognizes "Design Excellence" Award Winners
Tucson, AZ - In its Summer 2006 issue, Tucson Lifestyle Magazine named its "Tribute to Design Excellence" award winners in commercial and product design, sponsored annually by the Southern Arizona Chapter of ASID.
Taylor Design Group was recognized for their work in "The Business of Design" category for the transformation of an existing office space into a high-end restaurant design for Red Sky Café.
Taylor Design Group additionally received recognition for the re-design of a retail beauty parlor, The Hair Tree Salon. For this design challenge, Taylor Design was chosen to complete a re-model of a dark, claustrophobic space. Their starting point was to select a color palette of creamy yellow, crisp white, and cool black accents.
Workstation and reception areas were re-designed and opened up to provide a more efficient use of floor space. Creative lighting helped put the finishing touch on the new space, which is now a warm and welcoming environment for both employees and clientele.
